Terms & conditions of booking
1: For our residential workshops, a deposit of £100 per person is required at the time of booking. A cheque for this
amount should be sent with the completed booking form. Your booking will then be confirmed by letter. The balance of
the workshop fee is due eight weeks before the workshop date. If the balance does not reach us by the date specified in
our confirmation, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled. To book a one-day workshop, please pay the
amount in full.
2: If you are booking within eight weeks of the start date, please make payment in full with your completed booking form.
3: Courses will only take place with a minimum of three photographers. In the event of your course or workshop being
cancelled by Magnetic North, for whatever reason, your payment (including deposit) will be refunded in full. Our liability is
limited to the amount of money you have already paid.
4: If you cancel a workshop more than eight weeks before the start date, then any money you have paid to us (including
deposit) is fully refundable.
5: If you cancel between four and eight weeks before the start date you will receive a 50% refund of your payment
(excluding deposit). If you cancel less than four weeks before the start date there will be no refund. However, if we are
able to re-sell your place then any money you have paid (excluding deposit) will be refunded.
6: If you wish to cancel your workshop please do so in writing. The date the letter is received will be used to determine
whether any refund will be made.
7: It is a fundamental booking condition that you accept the hazards involved in visiting remote areas. Customers should
have adequate insurance in place for the duration of the course and the activities undertaken. The insurance should
cover for cancellation and curtailment, medical and emergency expenses, personal accident, injury and death. In
addition you should be insured against loss of, or damage to, baggage and personal possessions, including all your
camera equipment.
8: Magnetic North does not accept liability for death, bodily injury or illness unless this arises from the negligent act and/
or omission of Magnetic North employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.
9: Magnetic North does not accept responsibility for any loss of valuables, including camera equipment, during a
workshop.
10: We are unable to accept bookings from persons under 18 years old.
11: By signing the booking form, you are agreeing to accept these Terms and Conditions. The person signing the form
does so on behalf of all the other individuals included on it, so that all are bound by the booking conditions.
